I also switched my '04 for an '05 MP3 on ebay, ended up costing about $30. I noticed the same thing and have found no way to change it. Another Question, how can you get the text to scroll when playing an MP3 song. The stereo has a "text" kry on preset 6, but the manual for the '04 says"this feature not supported".

I do not believe it does scroll. Mine wont scroll on radio stations that support this technology.
