does anyone know if a cam with 228-230, 566-587, would be to much for a 390 with trw 2291 pistons, edlebrock RPM mainfold, not planning on doing anything else to motor.
I do know you wont be able to get away with the stock valve stem seals. I'm running the Crane 343941, which has .533" / .563" lift, and on the exhaust side the valve stem seals very nearly hit the spring retainer / cap thing at full lift. I think the clearance was about .000". You'd probably have to put aftermarket teflon seals in.
I 'm guessing your truck is 2wd. But imo that cam should be run with headers, and modifed heads. I really think the 16241 cam would be a better choice.
