Break cam in to Lunati's specs and you should have a good cam that will last. Do Not break the way you think it shold be. Different manufacturer's have different ways of breaking in cams. and the differences are sometimes necessary.

Lunati has a very good reputation. Just out of curiosity, why are you replacing your Crower Beast cam?

Thanks for the replys. I am replacing it because it has no low end torque at all. Dont get me wrong in the mid it pulls like a raped ape. The power band is like 26-48 right now thats advanced 4degrees too. I figure i would try another company and cam the lunati says it pulls very stong in the low and mid (1500-5000) which is what i need. I'm running a 2500 stall converter and 3.70 gears. Any one else run a lunati before. Thanks

Just an fyi...that Crower Beast cam came ground with @ 4 degrees advance...installed straight up. If you advanced it a further 4 degrees that is why your rpm range shifted upwards to where it is. I don't think you'd be dissapointed with a Lunati, but I wonder if you'd also be happy with that Beast cam straight up. Also, what intake do you run? Runner length and size can negatively impact your lower end.

yeah i have already had the power beast installed strait up. didnt notice much of a difference. Im running a 390 intake cast big *** 80 pound unit. Im gonna upgrade to a rpm wheh i get the right cam in it. I wouldnt mind the crower that much either but the idle sounds good as a stock 390 cam. If it wonts to act like a high rpm cam it sure better sound like one(lopey). It pulls hard though now from 26-48 was pullen to 5 before i advanced it would pull to like 5400 when i had it retarded. But im 17 and i wont it to spin a wheel too ya know. The stock ford would get down better than this thing off idle. Im just hunting more off the line torque.
