engine mounts question

Im not worried about the value of my truck cause ill never sell it, i just gotta get rid of this 240 it doesnt have enough power to get me around, theres to many people, i pull out on the road and i feel like im gonna get ran over, plus my buddy has a 72 chevy with a 383 stroker, and i wanna be able to kick is *** injected butt, so what kinda engine should i put in, you guys kinda talked me out of the 350 i have

A decent cam, headers, some head porting/polishing, intake and carb is all that you will need. Then have some real fun hunting rats.
