Cant get 6.0 repaired.

Ive been on here the last few days complaining about the ford dealership canceling my appointment. I decided to go to another dealership,so I called the local dealership that does truck only repair, they were booked. The guy I talked to onthe phone told me they were swamped with 6.0's and didnt know when he could get to it, he suggested I call another dealership in town who had 5 6.0 diesel certified techs. I did and they were swamped with 6.0 liters, so I scheduled an appointment for next week. When I told him the degas bottle was leaking coolant. He said that it was a common problem among the 6.0. He further went on to say that the culprit was an o-ring that kept the exaust seperated from the coolant. I'm about to make an exaust block off plate, because it is my belief that hot exaust and rubber o-rings dont mix to well. I am aware that I will be violating emissions, but right now I think I am using more anti freeze than diesel fuel. Any inteligent input would be appreciated. sorry about the long post. Jerry

Jerry, I have been working on this for quite some time now...Give me a call, if you still have my number. I have yours; if you would like me to call you just let me know.
