How do I replace my heater core in my 1978 Ford F150 with factory Air Conditioning. My Chilton or Haynes manuals do not cover heater core replacement with air conditioning. Can anyone help me please? Thank you.
That's the link to the tech article. It's not as technically difficult as it is labor intensive. The reason the manuals don't cover it is because the a/c system has to be evacuated and they figure we won't have the capability (recovery unit) at home to do that ourselves.

Thank you for your help too. I kinda figure that was the reason. Thanks again.

If you follow the steps in the tech article, you don't have to evac the AC system. Another reason to get a good service manual like the CDROM from Motorhaven.
