7.3 PSD engine wash !
I remember seeing a post about washing the 7.3 PSD engine .. But I seached and haven't found anything.
So my question is can you do it ?? Pressure wash the engine to keep it clean and pretty ??

robertjohn, i use simple green to clean my motor. have read the powerstroke can be washed,but not with high pressure car washes. i just use a garden hose sprayer and cover what looks electrical. been working great for me!

It is my understanding that you can do it. Obviously do it when it is COMPLETELY cool. If it is done when the engine is hot you run a big risk of cracking the block or other bad things. I know in the owners manual it says you can do it but only when cold.

I've high pressure washed mine maybe 7 to 10 times with it warm and no problems. I just avoid direct stream to anything electrical looking, insulation looking, sticker looking, and I think that's it. No problems so far and its pretty. Also I'm only cleaning the engine compartment area. I'm not sticking the wand through the fender wells directly spraying the hot block or exhaust manifolds.
