sandrailer..... well no you do not NEED to change gears... but it really depends on what engine you have..... is it the v-10? i have the 5.4L, and i am going to run a 4.56 gear with 37's. i have heard a lot of people with the PSD say that its not an issue, the engine handles it well no matter what tires they run. good luck !

what about the front? My truck is about 8" up, however the front is still about 1-2 " lower than the rear. There's 4 inch blocks under my rear springs, no blocks in the front, the springs are right down on the axle. Can I just add a 2" block to the front and get longer u-bolts?

Whatever you do, don't EVER put blocks in the front end (of ANYTHING). Big no no. You can either get new shackles up front to lift the front up, or drop the back by putting a smaller block in there.
