I thought I was lucky finding a good same color fender in the junkyard for my '96 Ranger from a 94 B4000. To my eye it looked the same and after spending an hour taking it off the Mazda and paying for it, I took it out to my truck and noticed the front part is totally different. ARRRRGH! So if anyone needs a Lapis Blue (code KE) left fender for a Mazda let me know. I can't seem to list it in the classified section.

 

Well duh, if you pulled off a '94 Ranger you'd have problems too. Many years don't cross. Next time try to match years, not colors.

 

Funny. Got my LMC catalog handy - it says 93-97 ranger fenders are the same part, just whether drilled out for flares or not. Sorry to hear the Mazda part didn't work out for you - would been my guess it was OK, too. Thanks for sharing your experience so others get a heads-up

Also, when I check car-part.com (hollander-based used parts search engine), searching for a 94 ford front fender only wants to know if it has the lip moulding or not, and only lists fenders off 93-97 rangers. Looking for a fender for a 94 mazda gets a question whether it is 4WD or 2WD, and only lists Mazda trucks. Whereas, searching for say a 4L Mazda engine gets you results for Aerostars, Rangers, Mazdas (prob explorers too, just didn't look that far). I know, catalogs and search engines don't do ya much good when a pick-a-part gem is in front of your eyes ...

 

So as far as the front clip goes you will notice depending on the year that it's different from headlights to grill and fenders.. if gonna use mazda fenders on ford you need to change the whole front clip and fenders.. the main section of the cabin is the same just different body lines and cosmetics.
