I just started using it as of right now, it was a pretty easy install. Seems to work pretty good, I do have to worry about the server load issue of hitting the site 8 times to get it up quicker. But, I did that part of the fix anyways. I have no point of reference for it's affect on speed, that's the first thing I did after downloading Firefox.
Been using it for a couple of weeks.... I forgot pop-ups existed, lol.
IE is faster than Firefox for me, but I had my IE all 'tweaked up' . It just all the pop-ups that got on my nerves.
If only I had broadband to try those tweaks as MTMike suggested... .

i think it will transfer your favorites from IE, i forget. You could probably save them and them load them in firefox
Yeah, fire fox is great, no pops up, ever. Every once in a while a page won't load correctly, but that rarely happens and can't remember the last time it did.
And its initial start up is a little slower then IE, I notice it when i'm writing a paper and want to look up something real quick while i still have a thought in my head, and it seems to take forever then.
I read the posts here and was curious. Download and set-up (including the tweeks) took me about 5 minutes max. I kept IE just in case. I have only tried a few pages so I can only comment on the speed......WOW!!!
