Glad the tweak helped, but I can't take the credit for it - just sharing what was shared with me.

Has anyone shared a tweak with you about using firefox and being able to use yahoo launch with firefox. Thats about the only reason I even open IE at the house.
I have been using various Mozilla browsers for years and don't have a bad thing to say about them compared to IE. There have been a couple of quirks that I had to either work thru or deal with but all and all a very good product and very customizable. I haven't upgraded to the Firefox browser yet but plan too soon. I also use Mozilla's Email programs, and have not had a virus, or pop up add since I made the switch.
You will have to use IE to update windows through the MS website, but other than that I don't ever open the thing. And there are ways around that as well if need be.

Anyone use extensions with Firefox? Extensions may be my favorite feature along with the pop-up blocker. Tabbed browsing is pretty nice too. For extensions, I have Linkification which turns plain-text web addresses into clickable links, it's handy for some discussion boards. Another one I like is Optimoz Mouse Gestures. It helps enhance browsing by letting me use specific gestures with my mouse. For example, clicking and moving the mouse to the left is back. After having used it for a while, no mouse gestures in IE just feels so inconvenient.
I made the switch a few months ago. I hate using IE, and netscape gives me too many pop-ups, ran 7.0, can't dload the newest version, doesn't like my comp since the crash. Got refered to Mozilla here and have used it ever since. Only prob is i have to use IE when accessing my account info here at the school, but other than that, Firefox all the way, will not go back.
