gear shift selector light

Does anyone know how to get to the light bulb in the automatic transmission gear selector on the steering column?

I read his previous posts and he has a 1991 with a 460. So he either has a F250, 350 or 450 (Super-Duty). It shouldn't matter.

I have a 1991 econoline 350. Same steering column. Same problem. Can anyone PLEASE tell me how to replace that bulb?

Out of plain curiosity, why hasn't ANYBODY responded to this question IN OVER TWO YEARS!!!!!!! That really doesn't make ya'll out to be a helpful group, ya know.

I suspect you gain access from the column below the shifter cowl.

Just follow the harness up the column.

So I have to take the wheel off and disassemble the column then? (These are the metal ones similar to GM columns).

If not, how do I follow the wire after it dissapears into the column?
