I'm going to a big tri state swap meet next weekend and one of the things I'm looking for is a 4 barrel manifold for my 292.
I think I remember seeing where some of the manifolds would accept a holly bolt pattern and some wouldn't. Can someone verify this and let me know wich years had the holley pattern?
Also, is there anything else to look for in these manifolds?
What you are looking for is a 57 and later model 4 barrel manifold. I forget the casting numbers, but just remember the end letter is B, not A.
Other than that look for smooth gasket surfaces, and look closely to see that there are no cracks.
Well, it was at 99.99, and if someone had contacted me, I would have pulled it, and sole it to them for that, before someone bid. After I posted, I checked and there were three bids, and it was at 109. and I suspect it will go higher. What I don't understand. is I put stuff up for sale at a good price fro member on different club sites. and get few if any takers. Put it on Evilbay, and away it goes for more than I offered it for more often than not. A guy in Ohio just got one sweet set of duals for a very cheap buy it now price. Best set I ever had for a y block. Cleaned and painted with 1200 degree paint. Really great flanges, this guy should be very happy, for 102$ shipping included. I priced those way to cheap. Whoever gets the intake should be happy to, it's a nice one. I've been slobering over those new intakes, ever since those came out. Don't know why, like putin a diamond in a goats butt, don't make much sence at that price. Sure is purty lsobber slobber drool drool.
64f100, diamond in a goat's butt. That is a good one! I know what you mean about the Blue Thunders. They and the other aluminum goodies were driving me nuts, so I got the dough together for the intake, aluminum timing cover, and aluminum water pump. Just trying not to think about aluminum radiators.
How about those aluminum heads, I keep hearing about? You know those are going to kill you bank account, when available. So far, I've resisted all temptation, cause I'm an old geezer that's out of work, out of money, and nearly out of the house, if his wife finds out how much he spends on these trucks.
