Another Gas Mileage Question.
just bought an 01 f-150 with a 5.4 auto, 3.55's,flareside , regular cab. i have a friend with a 97 with same drivetrain and cab,but his is a styleside short bed. he gets 17 mile a gallon he says, and the best ive gotten is 11.5. i riased the shift points a bitand made sure the speedo was right. i did put 33's on it but i didnt think that would be worth 5 1/2 mile a gallon. i changed out the thermostat today because i thought maybe it was running to cold. it did raise the temp a little. i think the other was weak even though it was the same temp termo. i already have a k&n and a flowmaster. any tips. i do a mix between city and highway.
