I've found one off the T-state housing, but I'm still looking for the other one. If it's the one on the rear of the engine block with the tube connected to it, how do I get in there to test and/or replace it?
With the engine warmed up, my dash temp gauge reads cold, the heater's working fine, and the radiator hoses are hot. So, my dad thinks it's this sensor. TIA.

I think the one you are tallking about is for the computer only (Thermostat housing). I know for the 86 it is a single wire sensor (red). It is located on the drivers side, next to the fuel rail (where your injectors are) towards the fan...not the firewall.
By the way...you should get a machanical gauge...much more accurate and not prone to electrical influences.
Pass side, below intake-exhaust manifolds, toward firewall(rear of head), single post- remove wire and jumper to a ground - dash guage should peg dash guage, cycle key on and off with jumper wire on it-if no effect , bad guage or broken wire(open circuit)I go through pass wheelwell to access these, replace when engine is cold and if you are fast enough to unscrew and screw new one in ,you will not lose much coolant
