i think it is a good deal. looks pretty clean. i think mostly you are paying for the miles there. they are low and that is a plus. just be sure it is what you want. if i was in the market for a f-250 i think that would be a buy for me. i would definetley try to haggle it down some though. good luck let us know if you score it.
Well I just did my own Kelley Blue Book price check , and in my area ( central Florida ) this truck would go for $13075 on a dealer's lot . And with a little negotiation may get it down to $12500 ?
Yeah, I've been searching for a while to find the right truck. I told myself to hold out for a 350, for the front end, four doors, full floaters, and whatnot, but then I came across this truck and, well you know the rest. I think they are asking a little much for it too. It's not EXACTLY what I want, but it has low miles and it's a five speed. In my book, that's ***** and beer. I found a Powerstroke-only dealer south of me in California, that has a crapload of exactly what I want, but they're 6-7 hours away. The downside is that I have a trade-in that's not paid off.
I drove from Broken Arrow, OK. to Boulder, CO. to get my truck last May and don't regret it one bit. It was a lot longer drive than 7 hours. If you want a good deal be ready to travel! I made a trade on a van that I was upside down on the paynents on. Call the dealership and tell them your situation, I'm more than sure that they will be willing to work with you.
One thing I forgot to mention was the sales tax I would have to pay. I'm on a limited budget here!
Stick it out a little longer with what you have untill your funds are more "liquid" . Then start looking locally at private sellers, you can usaully get a better deal through the owner than a dealership . I got my '96 F350 XLT CC Dually 7.3 5 speed ( 2 wd ) last July for $8600 from the owner when they were going for $12000 at the dealers !
If its not qiute what you want, I would shop more its an ok price but not great,. in reno i was lookiing and 96-97's were going for 12k-13.5k. . shop, know what you want, know what they are worth, and be ready to walk away from a truck if the guy wont come down to you r price. I shoped for over a year for mine, there are a lot of these trucks out there, keep looking. best of luck. J
