short in door!!!
I have a 1999 mercury Mountaineer. The window controls on the driver's side door sometimes stop working. If you open the door, they will start working again. The same goes for the speaker in that door also. It doesn't work most of the time, but if you open the door, it will work. What do you guys think? Any help is appreciated.

It really sounds like you have a pinch or some broken wires in the tubing going between the door and the body. There is also a chance that there is a bad ground in that part of the wiring too.
