well yeah. ok let me explain my self alittle more. i want to replace my "trailer queen" breather with a box that sits on top of the carb. from that i want to run 2 intake hoses to the front of the motor on either side of the rad. and put k&n fillters to the outside of the front wall. the prolblem is i want to try and run the "heated" intake style that will suck hot air off the manifold for warm up
hope this helps and hope someone knows how to do this

gotcha...
what I would do is get a dual snorkel air cleaner off a mustang and use it for parts. You can cannibalize the air diverters into your project.

yeah, its like what the stock air cleaner has. Vacuum operated diverters, got a heat sensor thingie on it so it knows when to open up.

It is built into the air cleaner. the vacuum hoses go into the side of the air cleaner, where the thermal sensor is, then from there up to the vacuum diverter.

what engine do you have? my 69 torino 351w has the setup under the stock aircleaner snorkel with a heat sensetive flap and hooks up to a sheet metal heatsheild like thingy that bolts onto the mani bolts, so if you know of a junkyard close by find the aircleanr setup that sits perfect on your carb (clearance) then the mani part you could fabricate with a pair of tin snipps and some sheet metal, then the hookup hose can be made from washer /dryer hose. old chevy trucks have the setup you just gotta picture what you want and some measurements then go a huntin'. try to find photos on the net of mustangs with the hood open then you can get a refference to work from.
