Race Deck Tiles

Has anyone used these Race Deck garage floor tiles? Here's the web site if you want to check them out . www.racedeck.com I was thinking of some sort of flooring to put over my wooden garage floor. It's very difficult to roll a floor jack, engine stand or a cherry picker on a wooden floor .

hey kgwld1, even floor jacks or engine stands? How big an area and if you don't mind, roughly what did they cost you? Thanks

I believe the decking has a pretty high PSI rating... still, I'd probably switch to jack stands with "feet".

GULP! 4$ per square foot.... http://www.saltcityrecords.com/produ...intro_page.htm

Hey stupidjet, originally my house had a ramp down driveway going into the garage. The house was raised about 30+inches and the previous owners had a wooden floor installed at street level. They did make way for a pit, which is handy at times. I'm guessing this was done before WWI.

I was looking all over online today for the tiles, i just don't wnat to spend 4 bucks a tile, even craftsmans are pricey at $2.5 a tile. I priced it and my garage would be way way too much. at 4 dollars a piece and the garage is 24x24 (measured it today finally)....thats 2300??? Thats freaking outragious! or did i add wrong? lol

These tiles make UCoat look more attractive. Someone somewhere in this forum mentioned having a satisfactory floor with a concrete sealer. I'll have to find that post and research it.

I used U-Coat-It on a floor and it worked great. Much more expensive than the epoxy coatings in Home Depot but I think it's a much better product. I've had friends that used the Rustoleum stuff and they've all had problems with it pulling up under the tires.

Better, but still not great... I still have a hard time spending $2.70 for a 12"x12" square of plastic...
