help needed with trailer wiring problem
I have a brand new trailer with a four wire flat plug....All of the lights work fine when hooked up to my wife's truck ..The problem is when I hook it up to my 1990 F150 all of the lights work but when I turn on the Blinkers they dim and blink fast....I have checked all wiring but still have no clue what the problem is....

Found the problem.....It was the relay......
Thanks everyone ....The problem was the relay wasn't able to run both the truck and trailer....Bought a heavy duty relay and it solved the problem...

I always thought they were called a "flasher". You go in and try to buy a turnsignal relay, they may give you the wrong thing.

Replaced the "Hazard Warning Flasher" found in the fuse box of my '88 F250 with a 'Heavy Duty' "LOUD" Flasher.
Doesnt seem to be any louder than the other one - though it is a bit taller.
WORKS LIKE A CHARM.
Trailer flashers and truck flasher work GREAT now.
