Removing 8.8 C clips

How do I get the space to remove the C clips on a 2000 Expedition. There is no room to push the axle in to remove it. All the experience I have with Ford rear ends are built Mustangs with C clip eliminators. Need help quick.

Not to sound like a sarcastic jerk, but is the pin out of the differential? Once that's out, it should just push in, then I usually pull them out w/ a magnet.

Yeah, remove the little pinion bolt (10mm scket I think), then slide the pinion out. Then all ya gotta do is slide the axles in. Usually you can grab the c clips with a pair of needle nose pliers. They shoud come right out.
