It would be close to 35. We could do that. Only prob would be if they don't let ya park on that side for some reason. I emailed pate and they are not doing anything with the parking.

Can you find who to contact at TMS to ask permission? You are right, if we put out the location and then got ran off, it would make for confusion and an unpleasant day for many.

To me, a get together like this needs to be as relaxing as possible, rather than everyone getting stressed out because they can't find the group.

Good planning,
Doc

79f150TX,

It sounds like at least ol yeller and I will be there. If you also work in Argyle and can come straight from work you will be able to catch us or worst case join us for dinner.

I guess we need to start thinking about a time for dinner. Any suggestions? Ol Yeller, I hope I'm not taking over your deal here. Do you have any ideas for a dinner time.

I'm thinking we could have the get together at the speedway starting mid morning and then go to dinner in the evening.

Any votes?

Have a great day,
Doc

By that time of year, it shouldn't get dark until about 7:30 or 8:00. That will give 79f150 a little visiting time before we go eat.

Have a great day,

Yes, those times sound awsome. I actually work in Irving at Westway Ford, Im a tech, but its only 30 minutes to get to the speedway from there on a Sat. So I am in.

ol yeller,

So shall we call it 7:30 as a time when we leave to caravan to chow? Once you learn from the speedway if we can meet on the East parking lot, maybe we can then post the map, set time for dinner, set time for folks to start showing up in the morning and start advertising. What do you think?

79f150,

A Ford tech huh? You better not bring any wrenches or this group will put you to work. Just kidding, of course.

Have a great day,
Doc

Guess I'll drive out and see what the scoop is on the parking. All I can find out is they'll post on there site for any special events. Since there is parking fees I'm thinkin they might want to control where. I'll post when I know.

ok, got a response and they put a flyer in the mail so when i get the exact dates, times, etc i'll pass them on. they said there's a discount for group entry fees. my trucks not up to snuff to enter in a show but i'd go to meet everyone and see everyone else's cars. they said they'd be glad to incorporate our group into their show and i think it cld be a great way to get allll of this huge states FTE'ers together since brady is in the middle ... up to ya'll too cuz i probly wont be able to go this year unless i win the lottery (guess i better spend a dollar huh?) but i'll put the info out there for ya ...

(edit) ok i'm not paying much attn today. they included the rules and regs and flyer and registration form in the email and i just downloaded and checked it out. the DATES are april 1st (sonic cruise night) and 2nd (the show in richards park). 325-597-3491, 325-792-9181 (fax) and i know we can't post emails but if you want the email addy you can email me thru fte. just put something in the subject i'll recognize as being about the show. if you want this info sent to you, email me and i'll attach it in my reply or maybe i can send it to someone who knows how to post it on here for everone to see. there's a lot of categories (even furthest traveled) and if you preregister (by march 25th) it's 15.00 (cashiers check, money order, or check) but if you register there it's 20.00 (cashiers check or money order only) according to the rules and regs car clubs of 10 or more are subject to a discount.... if you wait to register it starts sat the 2nd at 7 am and the show starts at 9 and you have to keep your booth open till 5 pm. i just realized i got my tax return so if there's interest in going to this, i'll make it a point to skip my toolbox and buy the gas to go .... keep in touch .. com'on TEXAS!

ol yeller,

Have you gotten any more information about where we can meet at the racetrack? We are only about six weeks away now, so we need to get everything cast in stone and start promoting the "event" so people can start reserving the slot on their calendars.

Hope you're having a good weekend,
Doc
