man its probably been at least a year since I've checked in here, but I'll be back in TX in april and will be at the nascar race in ft worth on april 16/17...will that work for a get-together??

 

End of April actually at the Speedway. Big swap meet.

 

Maybe have a big or small tailgate party

 

not sure when that swap meet is but the race will be on my home to beaumont and I should be back through the DFW area around 26/27 april. either of these dates work for anybody else? and yes there will be a big tailgate at the race. (where's the beer guzzling smiley? )

That's the old Pate Museum swap meet that has moved to TMS right? As it gets closer can you post some more info, like maybe the end of March? If I'm reminded, I will try to be there. I haven't been to that swap meet in ages and I'm getting ready to redo my 78 4X4. I also need to find a few Vette parts.

Saturday night of that weekend would work best for me and I would think for most people.

Who is taking point on this? I look forward to it.

the Pates deal is April 28-May 1. It is at TMS.

 

I might be able to make it out for a meet in Dallas... lets try to get some dates for sure.. that way we can plan in advance and possibly have a good turnout...

I'll see what's out there. Roanoke is the closest town. They have a babe's chicken that's supposed to be good. I'll check and post when I find something. There used to be a FTE er out there maybe he will know.

 

I used to drive the road from Arlington to Denton every day when I worked at NTSU (now UNT.) Now things are built up and you don't have to go very far South on 35W toward Fort Worth before you get to a whole string of restaurants and stuff. I haven't by there in a while, so it would take a little research, but that would probably be the best bet for eats. If someone wants BBQ, I'm sure that there is something there.

yea I was out thataway yesterday. Didn't see bbq but I bet its there somewhere. There's a judge bean in keller. I'll cruise that way on Friday and see what's there.
