Uncle Buck

Has anybody ever seen a John Candy movie called Uncle Buck, if not it's the one where a guy looks out for his brother's kids for a week in the suburbs, it's one of my favorite movies.

Yep!
One of the hundreds in my collection.

I met John Candy on a visit by him to Calgary.

He reminds me of me

"Here's a quarter...go downtown and have a rat gnaw that thing off your face ............"

About how old would you say his car was, I know that it's a Mercury Marquis, a mid 70's model.

1975-76, in that era, plus his car needed a tuneup.

Remember this quote?

'You ever hear of a tuneup, hee hee hee hee'

'You ever hear of a ritual killing, hee hee hee hee'

'I don't get it'

It's one of my favorite movie quotes of all time.

'You ever gnaw on her face again and you'll be one, hee hee hee hee

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What did you think of Tia, I thought that she was a smart alec and had an attitude problem, I used to work with a girl that was alot like her at my job.
What did you think of the parents on Uncle Buck? They were pretty ignorant and they didn't seem to pay much attention to their children.
I always kinda wondered about John Candy. I mean, whereas he was very large in Canadian Bacon, the food canadian bacon is much leaner than it's american counterpart. Plus, he never really seemed all that sweet-
But yeah, Uncle Buck was kinda cool.
Uncle Buck was good, but Stripes is what put him on the map.
To Tia: You will go to school or I will go with you in my bathrobe and slippers!
I have used that line on my kids.
