Uncle Buck, what a great movie! It was quite a loss when John Candy passed away. He was a funny man. The Great Outdoors is also an excellent Candy film. I also liked his bit part as the security gaurd at WallyWorld in the first National Lampoon's Vaction movie.

Have you ever seen Stripes before? It's one of my favorite movies.

Yes, I have seen it a few times. It is hysterically funny! How could I miss it. It has Bill Murray in it! Harold Ramis and Judge Reinhold, too.

How did you like John Larraquette's character in Stripes? I didn't really care much about his performance, I liked Warren Oates's performance as the Sargent.

Larraquette was a lot like a few of the officers I met in the Air Force. Just corporate weenies in uniform.

I don't know if anybody noticed, but his car had a CB whip antenna on it but didn't play any role in the movie.

Who's Harry Crumb? was also good.

What was the one where he's telling the story about the bear at the cabin and then there's an incident with the bear?

Odd you mention that movie. Saw it for the first time a weekend ago. Didn't get to see all of it. Went to the vidoe store, they didn't have it in. When I went back the copy they did have wouldn't work. Still haven't seen all of it.

Absolutely loved the way he dealt with Tia, the teenager. hahaha. She was kinda, cough, intriguing. Did a search on her. She played Mina in Mr. Hollands Opus and now has a role in Yes Dear.

What about the looney neighbor? Same woman who plays Jackie in the Rosanne sitcom. What's her name?

The lady who played the loony neighbor is Laurie Metcalf, how did you like the parents on Uncle Buck?

Does anybody remember an animated movie called Heavy Metal? John Candy did a few voices in that movie, although it's not a classic but it's a pretty enjoyable movie.
