1999 Mountaineer dashboard code 37 ?

Does anyone know what a 1999 Mercury Mountaineer dashboard
blinking code of a "37" means on the Airbag symbol on the dashboard ?
Thanks,
Rudunn, email: sadunn@netscape.com

Welcome to FTE rudunn. I can't tell you myself, but if no one else here can you might try posting in the electrical forum. Good luck with it.

I believe it indicates that there is not a good connection on either the passenger's or driver's seat. Not sure which one off the top of my head. Try making sure the connectors under the seats are good.

That would be the connector under the passenger seat, usually a broken wire from being kicked by the back seat passengers feet.

this is a great forum!.....i have this same code, "3-7" for a '99 Explorer Sport, and looks like the wire is severed under the passenger seat.....anything special need to be done if i just splice this together, like a battery disconnect or something?.....should i worry about the airbay deploying while reconnecting the wire?....thanks guys.....

Disconnect your battery before working on the SRS wiring.
