I ran my 99 Explorer w/302 last month at california speedway and got a 14.9@90mph (but I'm sure I could'of got a 14.7) with nothing but a 75 shot of nitrous and an opened air box since then I've added a set of pulley's, cooler plugs and upgraded to a 100shot. I'm hoping to get at least a 14.5...
I'm heading back out to the track on the 18th and I'll post some new times then...
Hum??? 13's with a 125shot??? might be possible!!!!
My Sport Trac with a 4.0 V6 got a 17 at 80. I have an intake and thats it. It beat a V8 F-150. And spanked another sport trac. The intake really makes a difference
Yeah the intakes do help alot but the cheapest one I found for my truck is like $270.00+ and I'm not about to spend that much on an intake, the only reason I added pulley's is because I took them off my friends crashed 5.0... as for the Nitrous kit I put it together my self for about $250.00...
My truck stock 17.1 1/4
with $290.00 invested 14.9 1/4 <--$290 w/bottle fill
with $310.00 invested ? ? <--100 shot,Plugs and pulley's
Good luck with your sport trac and if you haven't done it yet try freeing up some ponies through your exhaust...headers,cat-back, etc..
My intake was about $145 through fourwheelparts.com. I hit em up when they had them on sale real cheap. I think im about done, with mods on it. I might add an exhaust, but i dont really like how they sound on a 6. The other sport trac there that night, was running at 67mph i think. The intake really helps out.
