86 Throttle cable

Hi Guys, I'm needing a throttle cable for a recently aquired 86 F-250 4x4. I'm not positive that all the V-8's are the same, but I suspect they are. Does anybody know for sure? My present cable melted due to an exhaust leak at the intake. The carb won't come back to idle because of the warped / melted plastic. (makes for an interesting ride!) I've got a 351w with an auto if it makes any difference. Thanx, Phil

Phil, You can get an exact replacement cable from NAPA for your specific application. I bought one from them for $20.00 something.

Thanx to your lead I started pokin around and found it at NAPA, Autozone and Carparts.com. The price varied a little but everybody had it listed.
