Before I start pulling off brakes, when im stopping at a light, from higher speeds usually... I notice a sort of jumping feeling in the front and the dash will kinda shake/rattle...Im wondering if by anyones past experience ifit may be my front tires that need balancing or the brakes starting to wear..No rumbling during regular driving only braking so Im leaning toward the brakes and rotors

Reason: corrected
Our '00 Excursion did that when a rotor warped. We keep coins in the ashtray for tolls and they would rattle like mad. Oddly, it was a rear rotor not a front one. (Fortunately is was still under the 36K warranty at the time and Ford fixed it for free.)
I have an '02 F350 PSD W DRW and mine too shakes under braking. Sometimes pretty severe. It feels like the front wheels are wobbling. I don't know whats causing it and was getting ready to post the question tonight but you beat me to it. It feels to me like loose steering componants though. There is a vast amount of knowledge on this forum and I am sure someone has had this experience before.
It's pretty easy to check the steering components statically, and/or with a wheel in the air. If you think it feels like steering you should check those first... but I bet it's a rotor or two.
I have an '02 PSD.
I had to have my rotors replaced twice for this very same problem. Brakes suck on these trucks... they suck really bad.
I am looking to move into aftermarket when (not if, because it WILL happen again soon) the current pair warp.
i got warped drums on mine (rear), they way you figure out if its front or rear is, if the steering wheel shakes also its the front if only the brake pedal pulses its the rear
I'm having the same problem on my 99 C/C LB 4x4. I am trying to find out if it is better to just replace my rotors all together to get them machined.
How do I check to see which rotor is warped? Any tell tale signs? or do I need to replace both of them. If I replace, is it hard to get the rotor off? I replaced one on a 96 f150 2wd and didn't have many problems but this is a 4x4.
