Msd-7020??
Any body have any experince with this system?

Would there be any realworld benefits from using this set up on the F-150 in my sig, i.e, hotter spark?
I'm also wondering how this would interface with a predator tuner...
I'm going to run down to the local speed shop and see if they have any literature on this product.

I'm trying to look for a way to get a hotter spark, and something that would work with a blower, or something that I can take off if I decide to get a different truck rather than getting a blower in the next 8 mo.
The way it sounds to me is that the 7020 uses the stock coil set up and sends and extra 250v on top of the stock ignition.
I would think that I would still beable to use my Predator for a rev limiter and such. I would also think that I "may" be able to advance the timing a bit further as well, but that would have to wait till I actually put the thing on.
My worry would be this: How long till my factory coils burn up?
I plan on calling up MSD this afternoon, and I'll try to post what they say.

thay will not put more stress on your coils, thay will last as long as thay would if
you dident have the msd on thare. I would be more worryed about the msd dieing but
your not pounding the heck out of it so it sould last for years.

Well, I guess the verdict is in.
MSD, doesn't reccomend the use of the 7020 on COP setups.

Good news is that they are cooking up something special for COP systems, and expect to have it out in the near future!
