Someone in another tread mentioned somthing called "rollerizing" a C6 to get less HP drain on the enging, Does anyone have any info on this or a site to go to get info ? Also can a taller 1st gear be installed like a 3.05 insted of the stock one ?
tci sells a low drag kit:"This low drag set for the C6 replaces the troublesome stock thrust washers with needle bearings that reduce friction and extend transmission life. Set includes forward planetary assembly, forward clutch hub, reverse planetary assembly, reverse ring gear, rear sprag inner race and roller bearing rear park gear. All thrust washers are replaced by a needle bearing." $261.39 from summit

I have bought a TCI roller kit. Some of the parts in it had Ford packaging. It comes from the E4OD trans and is good stuff. You can also get the same parts from Ford Racing (Ford Motorsport)...Don
you can get a lower 1st and 2nd gear. Ford sells a set, more common is to drop in the e4od planetaries.
Actually Ford no longer sells the wide ratio gearsets as of about 5 yrs ago, but there are several other places to get them or as you mentioned use e4od, or 4L100 gearsets. and the origanal poster was asking for 3.05 actually these drop first to 2.71, and second to 1.56.

Guess it's my turn to start paying attention, if you notice they mentioned discontinuing the M7398-c kit which is the old one and only used a 4 pinion planetary but thats cool that they brought it back as the 6 pinion using hte 4L100 parts like I was talking about I didn't know they had done that.
Thanks for that info.
