i was just wondering, how old is everyone and how long have they been messing with classics.. not just effies. im 20 and been messing with classics for 4 years now, and very glad that i deal with real creative work, instead of bolting on a body kit and calling it done.
I'm 50 ( don't let my kids see this! ) and I've had my 50 F-1 since 1989, but I've been messing with old cars and trucks since the early 70's. I guess that really dates me!
I am 63, got my license in 1957 the day I was 16 next day bought my first car (1951 ford tudor sedan, price $100.00). It ended up being lowered (heated springs front and rear, smart huh remember this was 1957), nosed, decked, door handles shaved, big and little w/w tires, light gray primer and a chromed out flattie with a auto trans (hated that trans) so I guess it's been forever or about 47 yrs and still going.
I'm 29 and I've had my effie for 1 year but I've been wrenching on classics since I was in diapers. I will probabily be wrenching on classics until I'm in diapers again.
I'm this many fingers old ( 5 x 2 hands )

I think I'm 42. I've had my '54 F100 for 6 years. My dad was a founding member of the Morgan Car Club of America in 1958. 1st car I drove was a '65 right hand drive Mini woody station wagon. (My dad still has it) 1st car I bought was a '62 Olds 88, 2nd was a '59 F100. There was no turning back after that. I am currently spreading my time between my '54 and a '40 Ch**y 2 door sedan.
As stated before "Older than dirt and Fartin Dust", my first Old car was a 1940 Pontiac, got that in 62, (Thats 1962 for the wise guys), when I left for Viet Nam in 68 I gave my dad the title to it and Five 57 Chebbies, a 60 Chebby, two 56 Ford cars, a 55 F-250. a 48 Ply-moth and several old stock cars. Told him if anything happened to get rid of them - I came home and everthing was gone. When I asked what the deal was he told me that I left and that was enough "Happening" for him to get rid of my junk.
age 60,got my licence at 14 in 58, my first car was 28 FORD Pick up, did the hat trick on her, a flat head, juice breaks and a 40 ford rear end. Got my 53 4years ago. Don
I'm 58 and have been messing with hot rods, dragracing and autocross racers since I was 14, before that I helped my father work on his cars and built show winning plastic models.
I'm 55. Married my wife cuz she had a '66 Mustang fastback, haha(just joking dear)...and we've kept up all these yrs. Just putting in front power discs. My older son worked for Big O a couple summers ago, talked me into buying American Racing Torque Thrusts w/ BF Goodrichs(the only non-stock part). I love it! Bought a '48 F1 2 yrs ago and just bought another F1, A '52. Never bored. Mel
