It seems to be a quality kit. As for performance, I've never been really good at seat of the pants feel. It does seem to hold the higher gears better going up hills than before the kit. Other than that I can't say I noticed much difference. I also don't tow often enough to be able to say how much better it tows. I ended up having to buy a new EGR tube because I trashed the old one trying to get it off. I also broke the vise I had it clamped into.

Like I said, I am not defending how things are done all the time. There are parts that are bad, and bad ideas, no doubt. Wheel bearings, shallow threaded plugs, Ford should know better, agreed. Of all three car companies, my belief is Ford takes the least responsibilty for their screw ups, sometimes to the point of being criminal. However, you know this to be true, a good PR dept can overcome poorly made parts. The Firestone tire fiasco is a perfect case in point, but when the Audi is unjustly accused of unintended acceleration, it's very easy for another company to point fingers at the reporting, which most americans shrug their shoulders at. Europeans would never buy some of the junk that we do, and their car companies are Mercedes, Porsche, BMW, so they have learned that you get what you pay for. You my friend are in the minority with quality over price, sad to say, but don't you agree ? Ken
