I changed the oil in mine today as well.. I also couldn't find Lube joints, like I had in my 2000 350 2wd. Not sure if its b/c I have 4x4.. or what.. the Lube joints a mystery???

I put in Rotella HD 15w40.. CI-4 13.5 qts.

Oil and Fuel Filter Change

I have a new 05 PSD 6 liter. I have not made it to 3000 miles for my first oil change yet. Should I use synthetic oil for the first change or not also should all my future oil changes be around 5000 miles. Should I change my Fuel filter with the first oil change or with the next one and every time there after.

I have been using Rotella 5W-40 synthetic with no problems. Wasnt a CI-4 rated oil at that time. It is now a API CI-4 rated oil. See the link to the PDF below for Rotella 5W-40. Your manual states if CI-4 is recommened then CH is acceptable so I dont see FMC having an issue with it since it is listed in their manual.

If you will also note down the page where they list all the API certifications Rotella T Synthetic is certified BOTH API CI-4 and CH-4 which has been the question in the past. I just changed mine to Rotella T Synthetic for the first time and like it as well as Mobil D-1
