Your '05 has the heater it just needs the cord. There are several threads on this forum about it and it will give you the part number you need and how to install it.

JW if you are in MO I think you truck comes with the block heater. Have you done the exhauastive search for the cord? They hide them pretty well. On diesels they are tucked away near the passenger side tow hook. They take some looking to find.

that's true - we ASSumed you knew where to look.... !!!

it is a black cord, with a black zip tie, in a dark spot, running up along the side of the radiator support... looks like the female end of a 3 prong extension cord...

The cord is very hard to find if you do not know what you are looking for. Pretty hard to get it unravled, even when you do find it.

Havn't found the cord yet but will look today when the sun comes up. I do have some good news or atleast its good to me. When i was at the dealership ordering some upfitter switches the owner spotted my truck and asked me if i would be interested in letting him use it for some tv ads for his dealership. He's wanting to do something for the HD trucks that he sells to contractors.

JW-n-MO, your truck does NOT come with the cord if you live in Missouri. It will have the heater and no cord. If you are near Springfield I will show you how to install the cord or get the diagram from Ford from your dealer. Where do you live?
