I am transfering from the donor truck the fuel lines, tank, wire harness, etc... Anyone know a test procedure fot the fuel select solenoid under the driver on the frame.
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 30-Aug-02 AT 10:35 PM (EST)]What year is the donor truck?
I just put my 82's cab on my 86 chassis, getting the wiring for the dual tank switch was a total PITA... It's part of the main cab wiring harness.... Also, my 86 had to have a/c and my 82 only a heater, so I couldn't swap the heater control to get the switch mount either....

Just take the tank switch out of the panel and mount it elsewhere I put mine down by the side of the seat. I cut the harness out as far back as I could so I could attach new wires to it. I just drilled a ole large enough for the switch handle to go through, and place a small chrome plate over it and attached a small bolt through the bracket and its been there 15 years works fine.
