Sweet! Now I need to figure out when I can get these puppies installed. It's COOOLD here all of a sudden.
Any ideas on the install? Did you do your's yet? I looked at my truck for like 5 minutes(it's 19° right now) and it seems like maybe pulling the grille would be the easiest way? Hope I don't have to pull the bumper.

Yea, Im going to get my clear corners before I rip it all apart. Keep me updated on how you do yours, I wish we could see the Ford instructions and a part list to the kit.
My truck had factory fogs, I pulled the grill when I replaced the bulbs in the fog lights. You do not have room to reach the back of the right light from the under the bumper. The trans. cooler is in the way. Should be a lot easer from the top.
I bought a set from Kar Kraft also, looks like the real deal to me I checked out a 05 Super Duty at the Detroit auto show and it had the same lights.Anyone know where to get some plugs with wire leads on them that will fit the lights?
I went to my local Car Quest and they had plugs for 9005 headlights. They fit and were like $4. Good luck! I love the extra light. Hooked them up a week ago today.

Thanks Jay,
Did you install them by pulling the grill off or did you have to pull the bumper off?

Just the grille. I had to take the lights off the brackets.. The lights went in through the front of the bumper, the brackets went in through the grille. There was another thread I was posting in that some guys on here helped me when I was putting them in. Try and search.
eallen62, my switch/bracket came with the OEM harness. It mounts at the bottom of the dash. Their were two screws that aligined with the bracket holes. It mounts in a spot where you would least expect it. Its just right of your right leg maybe 4" or so. Good luck
When I installed my fogs I had to remove the bumper, there's no way they were going to go in with just removing the grill. The guys that can install them by just removing the grill must have manual transmissions. I have an auto and the trans cooler wich is huge sits in front off the radiator and turbo intercooler so there's no room at all.
oldrifleman, from what I've seen on FTE posts and on other trucks their are different lights. From the dealership I ordered from in Charlotte my kit had Hella round fogs. Most other fogs I've seen are square. It looks like dealerships use different suppliers. I like the round myself. I tossed the box and don't have the part# anymore but here's the phone# 1-866-308-0130 to Harrelson Ford parts dept. Ask for Ben, he can help you. Be nice and I'm sure he will give you a break. Hope this hepls. It is a nice kit.
I installed my Ford fog light kit that I got from my dealer $260 (square), yes they were plastic lens and if you have a transmission cooler you will have to remove the bumper, that is what the Ford instructions said. it takes a while to do this. good luck!

I want to order them for my '04 as well.. Here's how I was planning on wiring them... I was going to try and find a relay that had two triggers, and connect one to the low beam line and one to the high beam line. I could just connect it to the running lights, however I have a plow and I do not want the fogs to come on when the plow is on the truck. I'll tap into the plow's harness so that when the plow lights are on and the headlights are off the fog lights will not come on.
If I can't find the relay I want I'll connect a normal relay only to the low beams, I don't use my high beams much being in NJ, there's ALWAYS oncoming traffic.
Sorry I can't provide you with colors and locations on wires, I can post back after I get my foglights and install them if you don't have it done by then.. but I reckon it'll be pretty easy.

OK, class, listen up. Don't think they make a relay with 2 "triggers", but --- Go to your local Radio Shack, and buy 2 "diodes, silicon, 50 PIV 1 amp, or better". For the tech minded, 1N4004 or similar. Connect the "bar" ends together, an dosolder. Solder the + coil terminal to this. Solder individual wires to each of the other ends, and connect one each to the high and low beam lights. insulate everything with heat shrink. Wire lengths are not critical. Naturally, connect the other coil lead on the relay to ground, and the two remaining terminals to battery (and a fuse or breaker) and to the lights. Fog lights will now come on with headlights regardless of which beam is selected.
