drum size question
i just got back from advance auto. i wanted to but a new et of rear drum brake shoes. he asked me if i had an 10" drum or an 11" drum. then he told me that i had to measure the interior of the drum to find out. is there another way to accomplish this? is their a code? i have a '82 f-150 w/ 300ci. had 4sp. clark tranny, but now have comverted 3sp. thanks.

If you go to their website www.partsamerica.com you will see the many different types for your truck. They had a reference to gross vehicle weight rating, but i would just take and measure the inside of the drum to be sure.

drum size question
Just measure the backing plate and use good judgement. If the plate is around 11", you have 10" brakes. If it is 12", you have 11" brakes. If it is 14", you have a problem.
