Well, although others may look at it as a no win situation,I dont.Even though my brother is a piece of ,,,,I could not live with myself knowing that they could freeze to death. You did the right thing.I would have done the same thing, only I probably would have installed the pipes and gotten the stove working for them.(her really)I figure if he is to lazy to do it,she would end up freezing. And I would not let that happen.Oh yeah, your original question,MY BROTHER!Without going into details, lets just say he swindled my parents out of most of their retirement savings, then went and bought himself a real big house on a lake.WHAT A P.O.S.!!!!

My brother is two years younger than I am, but he has the mental capacity of a 17 year old sometimes. He has a job and works steady, then blows his money on chicks, sometimes on gals he meets at strip clubs.
Mom had to take his bank account away from him for the 2nd and likely final time because he bounced every check in a month - racking up $1275 in bounced check fees. Short of him finding a woman that will put up with him, can keep him in line, and manage his money I'll be stuck with having to manage his affairs if/when something happens to Mom.

Not a bad idea, but why go get into it if I know I'm gonna get my rear kicked. Not gonna walk into a losing situation. And I know he will kick my rear, been there & done that already.
