Console w/miles-empty feature, etc.
New to forum and have some questions. I have 2001 XLT Sport.
(1) Can the overhead console be upgrade with one that shows miles -to- empty, etc. Vehicle currently has console with following features: temp., compass, auto moon roof power button and driver and passenger-side lights. I pulled it down and noticed that the display part is removable from the housing and that it has 3 harnesses plugged into it. One harness has 5 black wires and the other two harnesses look almost identical and have about 12 wires each).
(2) Has anyone replaced the powered heated mirrors on the 2001 XP with turn signal mirrors, especially with the mirrors that have the turn signal light separate from the glass? If so, was the XP pre-wired for the turn signal mirror or was it necessary to run new wires?
