302 efi to Carb

I need to know everything there is to know about changing my 86 302 fuel injected into a Carbed 351w. I got a edelbrock carb and manifold so I decided i just as well do it or If anyone can tell me how to keep that fuel injected engine from running so rich. It idles for a while and starts blowing out black smoke. My spark plugs go bad quick. There is also a small miss while it idles i think that is caused from the richness because when you get it cleaned out or at a high idle it runs fine.

you need to check your fuel pressure. If your high pressure pump or pressure regulator is bad the injectors will run rich. Are you using any oil?

What would be the best way to check pressure just run it into a macanic. No the truck doesn't use any oil. Could the richness cause it to miss while idling because of the fuel foaling the plugs.
