84 F150 With AOD

84 F150 With AOD
I have a 84 F150 with a 302 blr and a AOD. The truck has 221k on it with a motor rebuild somehwere around 150k. I think, the AOD is begining to loose its grip. When you ecclerate hard the truck does not jump lke it use too. Maybe its the converter rather than the trany itself, not sure. Is the AOD worth rebuilding? Would an different trany be a good directions to go? (Though any trany that can go 221k with only regular service and haul a 26' travel trailer much of its life cant be all that bad, right)
