Power Edge JUICE Module

First of all I love my 6.0 PSD, fast and fun (except for the noisy main serpentine belt).

I am a gadget guy and I love buying stuff for my truck. I am looking at the Power Edge JUICE Module, it does a lot of cool stuff. Any feedback on this good or bad. I shop at this link and they have a package that includes the Juice module, air filter system and exhaust. I am looking at adding well over 100 HP by adding all this stuff. Help, I want a good computer upgrade, if you dont like the Juice Modulse then Hypertech? Diablo?
Thanks, Pat

Whatever you decide to go with I would stay away from the company in that link you provided...stay far far away from them. Too many horror stories from them.

I agree you should support our sponsers, but I like the modules better than the programmers.

I have the edge monitor myself, and I am very pleased. Its nice being able to shoot around on levels 4 or 5, then switch to level 2 for towing, without having to breakout the programmer. The Edge Monitor is also a good "one stop shop", in that it includes your gagues. You need the EGT monitor with this.

Look at the Banks 6-gun as well. It wasn't out when I purchased the Edge, but it deserves consideration.

The programmers do allow you to check engine codes... if your into that sort of thing.

I've heard that the edge is great for manual tansmission, not so good for automatics. it doesnt work well with shift points and tends to "slide" into the next gear on heavy accelleration

I have heard that the edge is a good all around module but I was talking to a local shop and they said that they have had a lot of problems with them when they are behind a automatic trans. They had one guy on his 5th trans. They recomended the banks 6 gun for anyone with a automatic. But that is just a thought...

no problems with my juice/attitude...Im running 38" tires on a dually, and the tranny shifts flawlessly. Before the edge, I did have a sc1704 which came from motorhaven, but I returned it...The shifting and smoking was aweful with the SC. the only good thing about tuners, in my opinion, is the ability to scan....Everyone has had good outcomes with both, I guess pick whats in your budget.

Talking

I recently installed the Edge Juice with the Attitude Monitor. Oh my Gosh the power when set on level 5 @ 115 extra horsepower. The only down fall I have seen is all the stuff you have to remove to take it in the dealership, so no one ask any questions. But other than that the ability to switch from safe tow mode right to the race mode. My favorite is pulling up to a import car with his windows down so I could hear his music for another 2 miles when the light turned green leaving him a big black cloud of smoke

I love the power of my Edge with Attitude, however the trans has started to slip alot in 4th (auto) I drive on setting 5 (extreme) all of the time. I am considering the SCMT just because of the transmission programming. I also think the Edge creates very high EGT's too quickly 1450+.

I am thinking about doing an Edge Juice w/ Attitude and a Supertune programmer.

I just had my X-Monitor installed and the guys there had a supertune in my truck when I went to get it and they let me try it out all I can say is WOW!, then I told them to take it out.

The max EGT I saw was 1100. Although I already have a full 4" system on my truck.

I have the Edge and I do like it. But I would honestly would not recommend it unless you wanna spend some extra cash. With the Edge like mentioned before it does nothing for your tranny so your just eating it up. The Edge has incredible low end but fades in the top end, programmers are said to be just the opposite. But the adjustment is nice. I tow often so I went with the Edge and I have a custom tranny tune that saves my tranny and gives me about 5psi more of boost on top of the Edge . But I have a little money tied up in that. You could save your truck and your wallet by going with a SC1705. But if you wanna spend some extra dough get the Edge but then you gonna worry about that tranny. I ran that Edge for about 4 months without any tranny mods and in level 5 you get terrible shifts and its really tough on it. Just my .02

I love my Edge/Attitude, its power, adjustability, digital display and how much fun my truck is now. I do have a 6 speed for the record.

If you want it all get a Predator or Super Chip for the tranny and diagnostics and leave it the on stock setting. Then get the Edge/Attitude and have the digital display and adjust on the fly power.... Best of both worlds!

I had the edge and went the superchip. The edge was causing my tranny fits in the 4th and 5th setting. Edge really needs to get the shifting problem worked out.

Go with the edge if your running a 6 spd. Go with the banks if you have an automatic. Good luck.
