Problems with touchscreen monitors

I work at a hospital lab and alot of the equipment has touchscreens. I'm always having problems with them. I think its dust and old fingerprints on the screens, but even after I clean the screens they don't want to work very well. Anybody have any tips for working with touchscreens?

did you use the cleaner as directed by the monitor company. we have them at work and also found they had a touch adjustment in the soft ware that we turned up to a softer touch.they maybe have it also. good luck

Well I can't mess with any of the settings since the screens are attached to instruments that cost hundreds of thousands of dollars they are password protected. I wasn't aware of any special cleaner. I just use some distilled water and lint free wipes. What do you use?

Check the actual manuals for the machines, not the test procedures manuals. A supervisor should have them. Contact the manufacturer of the units for their cleaning and adjustment instructions if required.
