Netscape 7.2 doesn't work anymore

Ok, I have asked almost everywhere and no one can give me a good answer, not even netscape, if they were to reply. I have netscape 7.0 since my computer crashed. Before the crash and system recovery, I had Netscape 7.2 and it worked perfectly. I hate using Explorer, I dunno why, just like being different i guess, or I just like netscape, but anyways. I have tried downloading 7.2 with all but the weather channel thing and all that unneccessary junk they try and give you, like i had before hand and it won't work, I try to run it after the install and it shows the hourglass symbol that it's thinking, and then goes away and doesn't work. I dunno whats going on with it, I even had my roomie in here to look at it and he's in here for computer engineering. I know my fair share about them even though I'm here for mechanical engineering and neither one of us can figure it out. Does anybody have an idea or know how to fix this so that it works? 7.0 doesn't have a pop-up blocker and all the free ones i've found only work for ME, and this is really getting annoying. Thanks for ya'lls help

I'd scrap netscape as they are now owned by AOHELL. I use Mozilla Firefox, it's got a good pop up blocker built in. To get netscape to work, use either CTRL ALT DEL or CTRL SHIFT ESC to bring up the task manager, go into the processes tab, and end process on all netscape processes. It is "netscp" in the list, I think.... It's been a while since I use it. Firefox comes without all the crap, and is much nicer I think.

Go to http://www.mozilla.org/

Find Firefox and download it. Has some of the same "feel" as netscape, and far less problems than IE. The built in pop up blocker was the #1 reason I started using it. Haven't looked back since.

There is a spelling checker plug-in for it also. You can find a thread about it around here with the search function. A spelting cheeker is handie hier.
