Sounds like the way to go is with the turn down. I think that I'm going to give it a little time still. According to the wife it's already loud but what does she know.
What would happen if i did what i said before...would that mess up back pressure or would it just sound terrible or could it possibly even work?? - Jason
What do you think it might cost me to get that setup put on my truck at a mufflershop? i dont know what prices are...Flowmaster Original 40 series SI/DO 2.5", one pipe leading out the right side skirt with a large dual tip on it, one turndown immdiatly after the muffler...and i should get stainless over steal correct? thanks - Jason
I would personally get the stainless steal tip also...A flowmaster runs around $60-$70 bucks. A tip (stainless) I guess will cost around $10? Then the turn down and the piping to the side should be around...$20...maybe $25? If you add 50 bucks labor you come out around $150. That's my layman's guess. I just got a 40 series FM dumped SISO and that was $120.
Alright thanks True...now i have something in my head for when i go down to the shop...ill let you guys know if i do get this setup put on my truck...its winter right now in MA with snow and ice so ive decided to wait until spring before i put the money into the exhaust...but im pretty confident that i will try this set up...thanks again - Jason
