Question Difference in R&P ratios

I have replaced the kingpin type dana44 in the front of my truck with a newer balljoint type of axle. I got realy lucky with the R&P ratios, I think. I started with a 3.50 and now I have a 3.54. Can I run this without regearing the other axle to match? Thanks in advance.

3.50 and 3.54 are close enough to run them together without problems, just shift out of 4wd as soon as you reach hard ground so it doesn't bind up. My Bronco has that combination, kingpin Dana 30 with 3.54 front and Ford 9" with 3.50 rear.

As long as the two diff ratios are within 1%....you're good....it's close, but they should be ok as long as you're careful, be a little better on not using 4wd on hard/high traction surfaces. Usually the front is .01 below the rear, like 4.09/4.10 or 3.54/3.55...

Hey thanks guys, I knew this would be the place to come for an answer. So stay off the pavement in 4 wheel drive. I have the matching R&P, do you guys think it would be a good idea to install it? I only put the truck in 4 wheel drive when I need to so I' not sure that it would be worth the time or money. Thanks again.

I myself would change them, as it's not that hard to change them if you know how....
