Considering the new 150

Anything that I need to know or look out for? I drove a 04 and it had a small wheel nibble but all else considered and I loved it. Anything that I should be aware of. It will be my 4th f150. Man I love these trucks. They just keep getting better. I was considering a 250 but 150 is more practical for me and alot cheeper. Can the wheel nibble be fixed at all? The salesman said it was a tire out of balance and it felt like it too. Only happend on the freeway. Any input would help. I would be looking at the 4x4 screw, lariet. any difference between 04 and 05 to worry about?

RUN, don't walk from that truck!!!
Drive one that has no 'nibble'. 90+% of these trucks are great. The ones that arn't have a 'nibble'.
Sure, they may be correct, it may be just a tire out of balance. It's not worth the risk.
Drive another one. There are plenty on the lots. If you drive one that doesn't have anything funny on the freeway, buy and enjoy.
Chris, who's truck doesn't have any nibble, 1-100 mph.

Tell them to fix it and then redrive it. Have them ROAD FORCE BALANCE the tires.

Redrive it for a 24 hour test drive on all the roads and speeds you normally drive.

If it is not perfect to you don't take it.

Great trucks-yes But don't get into one that has a problem with vibration, the road ahead of you is very long.

The majority of the 04 F-150 don't seem to have any issues. Make sure you buy one of those.

Get it in writing that they fix it. The salesman is your best friend 'till you sign the dotted line, then he doesn't remember making the deal. All in all, these are good trucks. Don't get suckered into that one lemon that may be out there.

I would not personaly buy that one. Have them to find you another one. Look at the horror stories on here and other boards with what some have had to put up with trying to fix the vibe.

Get a smooth one from the git go

Hi,

I just picked up a 2005, rock solid and smooth. A blast to drive. The truck is very stiff and has very large suspension and frame components. So it does bounce when I go over rough road.

Came from a luxury import and couldn't be happier.
