1990 Ford F350 electrical problem?
I am having some erratic problems that have me stumped. I can be driving down the road and my truck just dies. Sometimes my lights stop working, sometimes my brakes and wipers etc. Has anyone had this happen or can anyone help me troubleshoot?

A friend of mine had his truck go goofy ... discovered the ground lug up behind the radio was the problem. You could look there or at the firewall connector (ecm). It has a 10mm bolt holding it together from inside the driver fender. A connector about 9 inches long and 1 inch wide with the 10mm bolt center. You can get at the bolt from above with 3/8 or 1/4 drive ratchet and socket. loosen the bolt, (it wont come out) unplug and plug back in. Sometimes moisture gets in there. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply. I should have mentioned that I out of nowhere loose power as well when driving down the road and 5 minutes later it runs fine. I am also having trouble with the transmission shifting into gears (new tranny 20,000 miles or so ago, so don't think it's a tranmission issue). It is just acting wacko! I am just sure it is something electical and am checking all my grounds to see if maybe that is my problem????
