hello! my girlfriend has the escape. she would like to be able to use her foglights without using the headlights. i did this mod on my vehicle by modifying a relay. i soldered a piece of wire from pin 87 to pin 86. then i broke off the 86 prong. plugged it in and my foglight now work with out the headlights. but on the escape the relay is different. first, it is smaller and it has five prongs on it instead of four!!!!! any suggestions! i really don't want to get up under the dash and start cutting wires,etc. if anyone knows the simpler way-using the relay, i would appreciate any input! thanks.

i was quite surprise that i received no replies. i have to say, unfortunately- i am disappointed at the lack of true enthusiasm with escape owners, in respect to modifications and such to their vehicles. it seem's to me, as a group we are more concerned with "little details"" about our trucks, than with customizing and creating our own individual statements. if you don't understand what i am saying-drop by the xterra owner's home page-now there is a bunch of guy's who are serious! by, the way- i figured out on my own, how to make the foglights runwith just the parking lights.

hey guy, not to get you in a frenzy but some of us don't want to mess with our eletrical parts while our cars are under warranty. I got a 02 with out fog lamps and looking to hook some up!
